The steel products we import into the U.K. are made within a 10 kilometre radius of Eregli Port, Turkey. The advantage being that there is little distance from producing Mill to the carrying vessel. This lessens the risk of damage on trailer - once wagons are loaded at the Mill. Wagons are carefully sheeted to avoid rain damage en route to the Loading Dock.

The vessels we charter have been carefully tested for leakage and are invariably less than 15 years old. A Master's Conformity Certificate is issued to testify that all stringent conditions and warranties have been met before sailing.

During vessel loading, our own inspector together with independent cargo surveyors, monitor craneage, lowering and stacking into the vessel's hold. Carefully placed dunnage, strapping and paper protection plus hatch sealants are applied prior to ship's departure. Avoidance of water ingress/ rusting is vital.

The voyage to Liverpool is Approx 12-14 days. The ship discharges at Canada Dock North into our own Store -constantly supervised by Anastel's warehouse manager Rob Ward.
